We take pride in designing beautiful art in the form of cakes. Whether you are looking for a wedding, anniversary, baby shower, graduation, or any special occasion we work with you to design a show-stopping cake. We specialize in “I forgot my anniversary” and “I forgot my wife’s birthday” cakes.
We have extensive experience making fondant cakes but also have our traditional buttercream available as well and have a wide variety of cake flavours, fillings and icing options.

Our cupcakes can be completely customized, whether you are looking for classic or custom cupcakes with themes or fondant toppers, the list goes on. We have a great variety of cake flavours, frostings and even fillings too. Similar to our cakes, cupcakes can be decorated elaborately with the prices reflecting this.

Although we are known for our custom cakes we provide so much more.
Every morning we hand roll our dough and fill with savoury toppings; we try new items every season change! Our cinnamon buns are light and fluffy and sell out quickly. Using our local abundance of fruits and honey we bake our scones daily and our coconut macaroons are a favourite for many. Check out our Instagram and Facebook posts for weekly features such as brownie and blondie boxes, freshly made fruit tarts, bundt cakes, whoopie pies and we can’t forget cake pops!! During the holiday seasons we have variety of boxes available with cupcakes, cakepops, cakesicles and French macarons.

We have a variety of giant cookies to meet everyone’s craving from traditional peanut butter to white chocolate macadamia nut and chocolate chip with toasted pecans.
Our new line of brownies and blondie bars are a fan favourite already, we have a Coconut Blondie, Cookie dough blondie bar, S’mores brownie bar and the butterscotch marshmallow blondie bars that grandma used to make as well as our traditional brownies!! Another crowd pleaser is a salty caramel peanut butter bar.

About Us
The inspiration for my bakery was born from a young age baking with my mom in the kitchen, I always had the dream of creating beautiful wedding cakes. After working 15 years in the dental world, the thought of going to culinary school was always in the back of my mind so one day I enrolled at the Culinary school in Washington State and there was no looking back. My little family moved to the islands of Hawaii and there I learnt the art of pastry dough and would make hundreds of croissants to take to the daily markets. It was when family called me back to the Okanagan the idea for Caken Me Crazy was born and we opened our doors in June 2018. Since then, have been designing custom wedding cakes and specialty items for all occasions.
FAQs
Are any of your product’s gluten or dairy-free?
We do offer items in our display case in the bakery that are either gluten-free or vegan but for any custom cakes or cupcakes please contact the bakery directly.
Do your products contain nuts?
Yes, we use nuts in some of our recipes so there may be traces of nuts and we cannot guarantee there will be no cross-contamination. We do our best to be aware of allergies.
How do I serve and store a fruit filled or whipped cream cake/cupcake/dessert?
All fruit filled and whipped cream items need to be refrigerated. Do not leave out longer than 2 hours. Remove from the refrigerator 60 minutes before your serving so the buttercream has time to reach room temperature.
How do I store my Caken Me Crazy desserts?
All our cakes and cupcakes are baked fresh and do not have any added preservatives. For cakes with fruit or whipped cream they will need to be refrigerated. For cupcakes they are best kept at room temperature unless again they have fruit or whipped cream. Cupcakes are always best the same day they are purchased and if you manage to not eat them all, keep them stores in an air tight container overnight. For fruit tarts, cheesecakes, French macarons and blondies/brownies or bars they will need to be refrigerated as well.
Do we deliver?
Yes, we do within the North Okanagan, we do not have a refrigerated vehicle so anything outside that poses a food safety issue.
Is your cake pricing negotiable?
No. Here are some thoughts to keep in mind:

Does it still seem fair to expect a baker to work in exchange for “exposure”, or to try to haggle down the quoted price?
Do you haggle with your hairdresser, doctor, plumber, electrician, vet, dig groomer, or local restaurant? They work to feed their families, so do we.
Custom cakes are a labor of love, but love doesn’t pay the bills!
We don’t ask you to work for less, please don’t ask us to work for less.

Do you offer cake tastings?
We do offer tastings. We offer five wedding cake flavors. For twenty-five dollars per person, you may select five flavors. It is best to contact the bakery directly to order you options. We do offer free consultations for wedding couples as their orders are a little more in depth and time consuming. Please let us know if you are interested in a consultation.
Do you require a deposit on orders?
Yes, we do. We require a 50% deposit on all custom cake and cupcake orders whether they are wedding, birthday, anniversary, etc. We also require a deposit on any custom orders that we consider a larger order of other bakery related items ie. Cookies, bars etc. but not limited to. We also ask that remaining balance is paid in full 1 week prior to your pick-up date.
What is your cancellation policy?
For custom wedding cakes if a cancellation is made 30 days before the event date a refund will be given. If cancellation is within 14 days the deposit is non-refundable. For all other orders, custom or large, if the cancellation is within the 5 days of the event the deposit is not refundable. This policy is in effect because for us to take your order, we turn down other orders, we have to order in materials and supplies and we need to staff accordingly to make sure your order is completed to our highest standards. ORDERS ARE NOT CONFIRMED UNTIL THE INITIAL DEPOSIT IS PAID.
How do I travel with my custom cake in my car?
We tell all our clients to lay the cake box on a flat surface such as the trunk of your vehicle (as long as the weather isn’t too hot) or on the floor of your interior. We prefer the interior of the vehicle as it is more level and if needed the air conditioning can be used. DO NOT place your cake box on the seat of your vehicle as this will cause the cake to shift and could potentially damage the cake. Once your custom cake leaves our establishment, we are not responsible for any damage that may occur. We take pride in the cakes we make for our clients so if it is possible at that time, we may be able to try to fix some of the cake if the damage is not extensive and is not too far from the bakery.

Because all our cakes are completely custom made, a precise price list is extremely difficult to publish. However, keep in mind that the intricacy of the design, type of cake/ filling and the number of servings usually determine the price.
